It seems that everytime I come into Oak Harbor there are more trees cut down to make room for building more houses.
Who has the money to buy a house? I don’t and I’ve lived here on the island for seven years. My husband is active duty Navy.
I just don’t understand why there are more houses and condos being built when there are plenty of homes standing empty. Will the new homes be cheaper? I don’t think so. It just doesn’t make any sense.
Also, what happens to all the trees being chopped down? Who benefits from the desecration of our home, Whidbey Island? No one.
