Letter: Write in Gail Fleming for Langley council

The best candidate for Langley Council Position 5 isn’t even on the ballot. To elect Gail Fleming, a Langley resident with a stellar track record of level-headed, good-hearted and wise community service, we have to write her in. Scott Chaplin, a former candidate for Position 5, was appointed mayor after the ballots were printed.

Gail shares Scott’s progressive and practical values, and stepped in to run in his stead.

But… we have to write her name on the dotted line. Not check the Scott box nor her rival’s.

Gail has lived in Langley for 40 years, raised a son here, served on the Planning Advisory Board and on other commissions and is an Emergency Response Team co-leader. We’re lucky she chose to run for Position 5 when Scott was appointed mayor and I hope you will take the extra step of writing her name in so we can have her on the Langley city council.
