Kudos to your staff writer who used the term “venator” in a sentence in order to break-up having to re-write the word “hunter” three times in one sentence in their article about Coupeville’s deer population.

Initially, I laughed at the thought of Star Wars destroyers attacking deer on Whidbey Island, then realized “Oh yea, Latin for (hunter)”

Certainly made me think and now I won’t be surprised to see it used in a future crossword puzzle somewhere.
