Letter: Why can’t people simply follow the instructions?

Editor,

Island Drug was smart in the beginning by having people send a text message upon arrival and having them stay in their cars to receive their “come in” text. I had to take my parents to get their first vaccine and watch people get out of their cars to form a line with a single paper in hand.

I overheard most admitting to not reading their appointment email. These people browbeat the volunteer and congregated around the entrance.

When I came for my vaccine I followed the directions. After receiving my “come in” text. The volunteer was harassed for allowing me in the door.

People have been so horrible at following directions. Now you have to get out of your car and stand in line.

I just found that out today.
