Letter: Violence is ugly, only begets more violence

William Shakespeare wrote in “Julius Caesar” that “The evil that men do lives after them, the good is ofttimes interred with their bones. So let it be with …” here we can finish the line as old Bill did, or insert any number of names.

So let us insert that of Donald Trump. He is flawed, as are all men, but the system will fall especially hard on him. So let that be his fate.

The interesting result of the “mostly peaceful protest” in the nation’s capital is the sudden about face of the left. Remember Maxine Waters telling a crowd to “get in the face” of the opposition.

How about CNN’s Chris Como saying “who says a protest should be peaceful?” Nancy Pelosi stood silent at the storming of the Supreme Court, pounding on the doors by protesters, during the Kavanaugh hearings, and told us that BLM protesters were carrying out their democratic rights.

And don’t forget the “Summer of Love” from Mayor Durkin.

My only suggestion to you on the left is beware of what you unleash, it may come back to bite you. Violence is ugly and only begets more violence so when you tolerate it, the shame and response is on you.

Martin Luther King was widely quoted over the summer by lots of our media’s glitterati; “Riots are the language of the unheard.”

If there were riots last Wednesday, perhaps Washington’s swamp creatures need to start listening, but most likely will move to silence that voice further.

That is the Communist Chinese response. We are better than that.
