Editor,
I’ll keep this very short so that the “Forever Trumpsters” can read it and will read it.
Since Trump’s acquittal by the Republican-controlled Senate, he has been granted powers unknown and beyond anything our founding fathers could have foreseen. As I have written in an earlier letter to the editor, were Trump reelected, God forbid, we will soon thereafter begin to hear the voices of Germany and Italy of the 1930s.
Mark my words.
And given global tensions in our time, I would not be surprised to hear the sound of boots, in unison, pounding upon our streets.
I would not want to be in a Trump rally, meeting, gathering and be seen to be the first one to stop clapping.
