“(South American countries are) emptying out their prisons and their mental institutions into the United States of America.”

This is a false statement made by Trump over 500 times (The Marshall Project)

Experts and journalists find no evidence that South American countries are intentionally freeing mentally ill and incarcerated people to infiltrate the U.S.

What is true is that Trump has released convicted felons from the January 6th insurrection onto the streets of America. Of the 260+ found guilty at trial, “at least 194 were felony cases.” (CNN Politics)

Let’s look at two of these upstanding American citizens protecting our Democracy:

Andrew Taake, 35. 74 months. Came to D.C. with bear spray and a metal whip while on pre-trial release for a still-pending child-solicitation case in Texas (chilling account of his attack at www.justice.gov).

David Daniel, 37. To be sentenced May 2025 for assaulting a police officer. In addition, according to the Queen City News, this patriot was arrested for the possession of child pornography, sexual exploitation of a minor (younger than 12) related to sexual assault, and the trafficking of child pornography on Sept. 20, 2024.

And yet the Republicans, the party of “Law and Order” and “Back the Blue” are mum – “I haven’t seen that footage.” They will follow Trump down his rabbit hole of lies if that’s what it takes to restore America to god’s country. Mr. Trump has always been a liar. I’m 73 and from New Jersey. I’ve watched it my whole life.
