Letter: There is room in the park for everyone

Editor,

I don’t understand why Councilmember Shane Hoffmire wants to hid the sculpture Angel de la Creatividad in an obscure corner of Oak Harbor. It deserves to be placed in Windjammer Park where there is enough room for one to view it from various distances and perspectives. Windjammer is the only place in town that provides enough space for this to happen. As for the kite fliers and Frisbee throwers and all the rest, I’m sure you can learn to deal with it.

There is plenty of open space in the park and enough room for everybody. I say to Mr. Hoffmire and his 7,000 supporters: try something new and embrace this work of art. Yes, it is different but that is what makes it so amazing and interesting.
