Kudos to writer Luisa Loi and photographer John Fisken on the excellent article regarding the recent Fire Academy held in Swantown. The descriptions and photos of what trainees go through to become firefighters was impressive and brought the arduous experience to life.

Firefighting is certainly not a job most people can do. We are so fortunate to have people in our community who have the physical stamina and mental courage to undertake this work. My sincere gratitude to them.
