Letter: Senate only protection against Democrats’ ‘socialist agenda’

Editor,

I find it incredulous that so many voters cast ballots not for issues, the economy, the Constitution, law and order, immigration laws, jobs and values we hold dear, but instead voted on personality.

One letter writer voted for Biden on his “warmth and respect,” most others ignored his visible cognitive decline, surely to be a hindrance when dealing with foreign heads of state.

The hatred of Trump prevailed over everything else, and now Democrat voters are gleefully dancing over their presumed victory over Donald Trump and are oblivious to what is in store for them from a Biden/Harris presidency.

Biden promises to do away with the 1976 Hyde Amendment, which prohibits taxpayer funding for abortions. He promises to end funding for construction of the border wall between the U.S. and Mexico and allow unfettered immigration, and he promises to end the heightened scrutiny of travelers from certain Muslim-majority countries that have been designated by the U.S. government as terrorism risks.

Biden embraces a version of the Green New Deal, an economic boondoggle that would cost a staggering $93 trillion dollars and cause U.S. energy prices to skyrocket and create immense regulatory hurdles to fracking and other fossil fuel production while subsidizing “green energy” sources.

He wants two years of “free” community college, which of course is not free, but paid for by working-class taxpayers.

This “free” taxpayer-funded college benefit would be extended to illegal aliens, and taxpayer-funded tuition to public colleges and universities would be extended to students from families making less than $125,000 per year.

Biden’s plans also include a massive tax and spending increase, reentry into the disastrous Paris Climate Accord, new environmental regulations and much more.

If Biden emerges as president, the only thing stopping full implementation of the leftist Democrat Party’s socialist agenda is Republican control of the Senate.

It is readily apparent that those who voted for Biden never considered the cost of a Biden presidency to themselves and our country.

Biden will not be trying to rebuild our democracy but change it in a far Leftist direction in accordance with the desires of his handlers.

The media trying to elect Biden keep referring to him as “president-elect.”

He has not been elected until all ballots are counted, states certify their ballot counts and the electoral college, not the media, announces him as the winner.
