Being shut in as we are, life can get quite boring. I want to thank the Whidbey News-Times for brightening my day.

Your Saturday edition lifted my spirits. First, was the amusing satire from Ed Hickey. The star, however, was the “Island Scanner.” I always enjoy that column, but Saturday’s was a classic. It was hilarious. Keep up the good work.
