Letter: Question is not about letter, but misinformation

Editor,

At first glance, Mr. Meyer’s letter to the editor seems 180 degrees untrue.

Substituting “far right terrorists” for “left wing socialists” would begin to align with the facts, for example, which begs the question: “how did this person become so misaligned with reality?”

He’s probably a fairly normal person managing life through challenges and successes like everyone else. But somehow a stream of misinformation not only gave him a completely wrong version of events, but also sowed total distrust in the profession of journalism, so that only the stovepiped misinformation is heard.

The question is not so much about the letter, it’s about identifying the origins of that intentionally fraudulent misinformation.
