Letter: Politicians should listen to the people on gun control

Editor,

I agree with the letter writers who are grieving over the murder of innocents , most recently in Texas. I wonder why nothing meaningful is done about military-style weapons easily purchased by anyone with the money to buy such things.

The NRA mentality is stuck in colonial times. Republicans and Democrats need to listen to the mood of the country at this point in time. I think that if the voters were presented with the chance to limit the manufacture and sale of lethal weapons to the general public they would vote for that. A nationwide referendum. Soon.

No committee needed to meet to blah blah blah etc etc. Just make it happen.
