Editor,

I am a volunteer for the Ebey’s Landing National Historical Reserve. I have regularly taken care of the beautiful “prairies wayside” on Engle Road just outside of Coupeville. I am asking that whomever is dumping their empty beer cans in the bushes to please stop it. It is very difficult for me to reach that far into the wild roses, berries and brush.

I wish whoever is doing this, which seems to happen every night, would dump their cans by the picnic table. I do not mind picking up trash to keep that little spot clean. Unfortunately, there is no garbage can.

It is a shame that some people do not have any respect or appreciate the beauty of these public places.

Please do not be a litterbug.
