Fred W.’s June 11th letter just highlights how hopelessly out of touch he and his dwindling minority remain. While a pathetically small group attended the “Cheeto King’s” little birthday celebration in D.C. on Saturday, here on the island, 70,000 strong in Seattle and 80,000 outraged Minnesotans attended the No Kings protest — all while the Minnesota assassin was still at large. Nationwide, nearby 5 million stood up and said “No” to this buffoon, “No” to his narcissistic ideology, his hatred and his stupidity.
The absolute highlight of my day was seeing how dejected The Felon appeared at his own parade. Sure, as president, he can order the military to attend. But the look on his saggy face when he realized he couldn’t force people to come to his own birthday party revealed what a truly sad little boy he is.
Now, contrast that with the hundreds of thousands who stood up to support human rights, justice and democracy. No matter how much discord he tries to sow or how many distractions he warps to avoid the truth, it’s crucial to remind the sheriff and his posse that elected representatives are supposed to represent the will of the people.
