Letter: Look at other locations for thrift store

Editor,

My wife and I are saddened to hear that the Good Cheer Thrift Store in Clinton will be closing as the rent will no longer be affordable. By my count there are four unmanned fire stations on South Whidbey. Perhaps one of these should be made available to the Good Cheer for use as a thrift store.

I have tried to contact the Island County commissioners’ office to suggest this, but have been unsuccessful. I don’t know whose attention I should bring this idea to.
