Letter: Letter writer is just trying to trigger

Editor,

We are all familiar with Fred Wilferth’s letters and those from Ty Welch, Luie Ferrer, Ed Hickey, Bill Merrill and others.

Fred’s letters are not worth reacting to, in part because he’s not writing to engage or educate. Instead, he acts like a drunk, angry teenager: he has no real purpose, except perhaps to provoke so he can then claim – with angry teenage pride – that he’s “triggered” people.

His words are not conservative (not in any real way), nor are they patriotic, and they certainly aren’t Christian (if that happens to be his faith).

I want to ask Fred Wilferth and others, would you direct the same hate you express in your letters towards your wife, your siblings, your children or grandchildren?

Would you dare speak with such distain to your neighbors, to our veterans, to business owners, students, teachers, or to the people of Coupeville, or Oak Harbor or others of us here on Whidbey?

And would you ever speak to your priest or pastor, or to members of your church or congregation in the same way you write about Biden and the “libtards”?
