Letter: Langley candidate Fleming is a proven leader, listener

Editor,

The Langley City Council has much important work ahead of it. It is critical that we elect experienced and qualified people to serve.

I will be writing the name of Gail Fleming on my ballot for Position 5. Gail has worked for years with the Langley city government, including seven years on the Planning Advisory Board and five years as chair of the Parks and Open Space Commission. She has proven time and again her abilities to listen and lead. A resident of Langley for over 40 years, I know Gail cares about maintaining our small-town character while looking forward to a future where the words “inclusive” and “sustainable” are a part of who we are.

Gail is a write-in candidate. I urge all Langley voters to cast a vote for her by physically writing in her name for Position 5 on their ballot. We need Gail Fleming on our City Council.
