Editor,
It seems the Supreme Court has joined with the Koch brothers in wanting to take us back before the ’70s when the EPA was formed by Nixon, to a time when there were no serious regulations on polluters. Isn’t clean air and water important anymore?
I guess the scary summers of the last years with astonishingly high temperatures did not impact them, if they even noticed. The terrible West Coast fire season, the droughts world wide, water shortages, melting glaciers with rising water that may soon impact cities like Miami, severe storms everywhere, are these not important? Do the justices live somewhere where none of this can touch them? I wish they would tell the rest of us where that is.
The demonstrations people around the world have marched for have made no impact on them. It seems the majority is no longer a majority. A small minority with the court justices think they can take us back, without a time machine. We have known about climate change since the ’60s and time is almost up for us to act.
If they have children and grandchildren you would think it would be a priority. There is no party or country or people that should not be in this fight, it effects the world the planet. It looks like if we care about our little blue marble we must come out in mass to tell the minority that we care and want action now; there is no cavalry coming to save us.
