We, Jerry and Lois Beck, endorse Jim Towers for fire commissioner. We have lived here for almost 30 years, we have watched the island grow and change over those years, as members of South Whidbey Fire & EMS for 23 years we have watched and helped the fire department change too.

It is very important to understand this department, which is comprised of volunteers and paid responders. We believe it is critical that a fire commissioner have personal experience with this department and Jim Towers has that experience as a retired responder and officer for many years. The department has many challenges ahead and we believe Jim Towers will be a great asset to the department as a member of the Board of Fire Commissioners for South Whidbey.
