Letter: Insurrectionists tried to cancel 81 million votes

Editor,

I am writing in regard to a letter to the editor published April 10.

I would like to ask the writer, Ed Meyer, when he complains that a razor wire fence keeps us from the Capitol if he is including himself in the insurrectionists who tried to “cancel” 81 million votes and overthrow an election for the first time in our history, resulting in the injury of 140-plus police and trying to hang Vice President Mike Pence, a Republican?

Meyer seems to object to including the dark side of history, but Bill Merrill would assume we are well informed, meaning that we are aware of the history of voter suppression and recognize it when it pops up in Georgia or wherever there is no mail-in voting like there is in Washington state and Colorado.

Also, thanks to the Pussy Hat group for canceling racist stereotype children’s books that made it harder to teach children about racial slurs and sent my youngest home in tears.

Thanks for sending my newspaper in the mail now.
