I enjoyed the Aug. 22 article “Lobster Girl,” written by Andrea Brown. I would like to correct one item.

Fish-On John is not the current Mr. South Whidbey. Lucas Etzell claimed the crown and will reign as Mr. South Whidbey until October 2021.

Fish-On John was a wonderful contestant in the 2019 Mr. South Whidbey Pageant. However, Lucas Etzell received the most votes.

Due to the pandemic, this year’s pageant is being replaced with a video message of gratitude, presented by Friends of Friends Medical Support Fund. The video will include some of the greatest hits from all 14 Mr. SW pageants.
