Editor,
Sen. Ron Muzzall’s assertion that worker wages are responsible for Nichols Brothers Boat Builders’ high bid is loathsome and immature. An experienced builder knows a low-ball contract is achieved through cutting corners, under-performing, cheap quality and reduced value. A smart leader would invest in fair wages for local workers. This is both responsible fiscal management and essential to the prosperity of Washington’s future. The idea of sending Washington state funds to Florida is disgusting; he and his party are an embarrassment to the people of Whidbey.
