Letter: Central Whidbey road will not harm wildlife

Regarding the letter claiming that the Houston/Race connector road would “interfere with pristine wildlife habitat,” I disagree.

While attempting to count birds in that area (for the Whidbey Audubon Society’s Christmas Bird count) I observed no birds for several annual counts.

This was on account of that area consisting solely of dense second-growth forest that apparently supports no wildlife.
