Letter: Age-appropriate sex education is not ‘pornography’

Editor,

After having read Mr. Kiser’s letter to the editor, I was quite amused to his reference of science-based sex education as “pornography.”

Age appropriate education is first and foremost a tool to help prevent abuse of minors. Sex ed isn’t just about procreation, it teaches respect for yourself and your body, it teaches what is inappropriate behavior, it prevents unwanted pregnancies and abortions, and, to top it off, you can opt out your child, if you so desire.

The rest of his letter is a typical diatribe of how bad liberals are.
