As a long time resident of this district, I can earnestly say that I have never heard of or met a candidate that is better for our district’s farming issues than Tim Knue. Mr. Knue was an award winning agricultural education teacher for 32 years, a FFA advisor and is active in the Skagitonians to Preserve Farmland.

He had the technical knowledge that will keep farmers farming this area, and he has built the relationships with local farmers to understand their concerns and issues at heart. He has all the skills to be a successful representative for farmers and farming issues for this district, which is why I was surprised to hear at a recent forum that the Farm Bureau would endorse his opponent, who has absolutely no experience in farming.

Tim’s opponent likes to tout this endorsement as a testament to her knowledge with farming. However, if she was honest with herself, then she would realize that the endorsement means very little in terms of expertise, but shows a great deal of how partisan her campaign and the Farm Bureau truly are. I want the 10th District to join me in supporting Tim Knue, a candidate who is truly the only representative for farmers.
