The recent article quoting the North Whidbey Fire & Rescue commissioners desire to increase property taxes by the maximum amount allowed under law, 6 percent, reinforces my long held belief that the majority of persons in “public service” are there for one reason; a raw and unchecked lust to control other people’s actions and or lives.
Bruce, T. J. and Larry seem to have a dilemma on their hands, not being able to decide how much of the taxpayers’ money they need and the reasons (none given) to justify it. Commissioner Carmen, I don’t care how much money you think you need. The people spoke when they passed I-747. This, apparently is about to be overruled by our “public servants,” the people’s opinion notwithstanding. You are encouraged to extinguish your hope that the people (at least this person) understands your desire to dig deeper into my pocket.
