At 3:30 p.m. on June 6, the Fidalgo Youth Symphony will perform its 2015 Finale Concert in the Oak Harbor High School Student Union Building.

At 3:30 p.m. on June 6, the Fidalgo Youth Symphony will perform its 2015 Finale Concert in the Oak Harbor High School Student Union Building.

OHHS senior Katherine Fisher will be the solo violinist for Mozart’s Concerto No. 3 in G, and Carly Baker, a senior at Arlington High School, will be the oboe soloist for Vaughan Williams’ Concerto for Oboe and Strings.

Other local youth symphony members include OHHS students Elizabeth Bouwens on saxophone, Garrett Dutcher on oboe and Kathryn Gordon on clarinet, and Skagit Valley College student Christopher Hower as concert master.

Additional selections include Handel’s Concerto for Orchestra and Bernstein’s West Side Story Suite.

Tickets will be on sale at the door or at Click Music, Oak Harbor, and cost $10 for adults and $2 for students, open seating. Please arrive early as there can be no seating after 3:25 p.m.

The lobby opens at 2 p.m. for ticket and refreshment sales. A fundraising raffle featuring a one-year membership to the symphony, a music performance-themed basket, a coffee and tea basket and other great prizes will be held in the lobby; raffle tickets will be $5 each. Mark your calendars and come out for the fun.
