It’s time for a change

Many of you may have already sent in your ballots for Tuesday’s election. For those that are still deciding I ask this: are you better off than you were two years ago?

Many of you may have already sent in your ballots for Tuesday’s election. For those that are still deciding I ask this: are you better off than you were two years ago? How about four years ago? That’s when the party in power took over the U.S. Congress. At the state level it is much farther back. What this country truly needs is term limits. But those with seniority always tell us that once we have that seniority, don’t give it away. But that seniority is what has gotten this country into the economic mess we have today: Real unemployment well over 10 percent and takeovers in our health care, auto, banking and insurance industries.

As some have said, if we don’t change our elected officials on Nov. 2, we will wake up two years from now in a country we don’t recognize. Two of our incumbents have been there for 18 and 10 years! Isn’t that long enough? Send the professional politicians home. Vote for a change in direction.
