is it time to get control of property tax?

Editor,

In the last two years my property tax bill has increased an average of 14.7 percent per year. At this rate my tax will double every 4.8 years.

All of this is without the April vote for one more levy. I suggest everybody do the math on their tax bill today from two years ago and calculate the rate of increase.

My income is not going to double in the next five years and hasn’t increased by 29.6 percent in the last two years.

I have no choice, I have to live within my budget. Isn’t it time for local government to live with a budget and quit holding out their hand every year for another increase?

These increases don’t include the increase in water/sewer, the new “Rain Tax” and so on.
