How to avoid expiration dates

I am writing in regard to the June 2 letter by J. Longworth. As a military spouse/veteran I realize the responsibilities of moving to new states with new laws, etc. I also understand that as a military spouse/active duty member it is my responsibility to know when tag/title, licenses and ID cards are due to expire.

This needs to be done as part of your check list before deploying. If when deploying the expiration dates are too far out, then a POA for that certain occurrence is needed. Your command should have a pre-deployment brief that should cover situations like this, and to make you aware of the policies.

I know that when deployment comes around, things often get lost in the shuffle, but there are certain things that need to be taken care of so that this does not happen. Hope that this helps.
