House scares up donations

On behalf of the board of directors of Boys and Girls Club of Oak Harbor we would like to thank everyone who made “Frightville” haunted house a resounding success.

A special thank you to our design and construction crew, Brian Boyles (the heart and soul of the project), Greg and Sue Jensen, Jeff Stady, and Bruce Fenstermaker, who spent countless hours starting months before the event to create the expanded haunted house that wowed everyone this year. Thanks so much to “brothers in arms” motorcycle club for providing security and volunteer hours to help out, to the staff and members of boys & girls club for volunteering their time, to the volunteers who are too many to name that filled the house and made it into “Frightville” to African genesis Masonic lodge for cleaning up after the event, to diamond rentals, jet city, pizza factory, taco bell, and Wal-mart for donating to the event. Thank you to the Whidbey News-Times for the front page coverage. This was our most successful haunted house ever. With over 1,100 “guests” we raised over $7,000 to benefit the club. Thank you one and all.
