Hannold’s climate change claims undermind credibility

Editor,

Commissioner Rick Hannold’s guest editorial on April 4 would have been more appropriate had it been published on April Fool’s Day.

He states that there are more than 1,350 published scientific reports supporting climate change skepticism.

The reality is that virtually every climate scientist on earth agrees that humans contribute significantly to climate change; scientists at the Department of Defense agree with this assessment, as do scientists at Exxon-Mobil and neither of these organizations is “left wing.”

Does Mr. Hannold not read newspapers? Does he not understand that by beginning his editorial with this assertion he undermines his own credibility?
