Give us some straight reporting

The Whidbey News-Times (Editorial, July 18) calls upon the mayoral candidates to forget money and give fair, straight answers. The News-Times needs to do the same! Instead of an influential front page article about that money topic, let’s hear about issues.

Rather than a free endorsement of the “Who’s Who” of Oak Harbor, how about investigating candidates’ qualifications? And, wouldn’t digging in an almost year-old under reported incident for “insight” and insinuation be better replaced by clear, old fashioned, straight, reporting?
