Don’t let them take our hospital

We moved to Whidbey Island in 1989. Two of my kids were born at Whidbey General Hospital and over the years my family and I have been patients there. The service we received has always been excellent! The doctors, nurses and staff have always been professional and caring.

This hospital is our hospital, to let a big corporation come in and take it over would be a big mistake. Capella Healthcare is trying to make us believe that they will front the money for the expansion. Capella is a for-profit corporation, they aren’t going to spend that kind of money without getting something back, rasing cost, or worse cutting programs, staff or something else.

They are here to make money, that’s it! They don’t care about us, the bottom line is what matters to them. Islanders have an awsome hospital with an awsome staff. We need to keep it that way; let’s not let some big shot in Tennessee tell us how to run our hospital.
