Editor,

To my knowledge, no member of the Oak Harbor City Council or from the school board voiced a public position prior to the Nov. 7 levy for the North Whidbey Park and Recreation District. The levy failed to pass, which means the only public swimming pool on the island is closing and the dog park will no longer be maintained. Do the parents and voters of Oak Harbor care?
