Editor,

With regard to Carol Byng’s letter earlier this month suggesting turning military property into a cemetery, I took it to mean that if we had a cemetery here, we might be forced to acknowledge the hundreds of folks who lay down their lives for our freedoms.

It has become very clear that some local folks believe that their personal wealth comes before national security.

Perhaps a graveyard would raise their conscienceness?

I didn’t take it as “for” or “against” military. I took it as a “don’t forget.”
