Let us re-examine some of John Dean’s record during his tenure.
Did he listen to the citizens impacted by the arbitrary APZ expansion?
Did he engage in critical thinking, and do an in-depth analysis on the proposed mandatory septic system inspection program before he voted for its implementation?

Did he listen to his constituents concerning the county budget?
Did he listen to his constituents before proceeding forward on a new clean water utility tax district?
Is he listening to us now?
The answer to every question above is, no.
However, we must give credit to Kelly Emerson’s opponent for adding a new $5 fee for land conservation, raising the current expense, conservation futures, and road levies 1 percent, plus banked capacity. When that was not enough, he put forth Proposition 1, then held out his hand for those tax dollars to pour in. His spendthrift practices allowed a rapid, $4.5 million depletion in reserve funds.
John Dean, here is a news flash for you. Kelly Emerson shall replace you in November. Why? Because Kelly is the better candidate and we cannot afford another four years of your tax and spend agenda.
