Editor,

Recent articles and editorials in the Whidbey News-Times have included much criticism of the Island Transit Board of Directors.

Though some of the criticism is valid, it is now time to get beyond finding blame.

The directors are the most knowledgeable persons regarding Island Transit, and they spent many hours investigating the financial problems. Thus, the current directors are the people most likely to devise a path forward to resolve the problems.

We look forward to the time when Island Transit is in a strong financial situation and regains its position as one of the best transit systems in the state.
