Commissioner should know the process

I would like to briefly reply to Mr. Strowbridge’s letter of Jan. 26 concerning the letter I had previously submitted regarding Commissioner Emerson. For the record, I am not one of the county contractors “involved in the agenda’s approval of continued funding for her service.”

I am, however, a member of the County Mental Health and Substance Abuse Advisory Board. And, yes, I care deeply about advocating for resources for underserved people who have need for, amongst other basic needs, mental health care.

As a constituent I would like to think that a person who assumes an elected office would educate themselves about meeting process and rules of order in preparation for their elected position.
