The (proposed) meeting room (at the Oak Harbor sewer plant) is another Oak Harbor boondoggle. It ranks right up there with the Pioneer Way fiasco.

There are several service and private organizations in town already equipped to handle these types of events, and the council itself has used the Elks Lodge on several occasions for meetings when it was aware that the topic would overflow its meeting room.

We need a treatment plant, we don’t need a 250-person capacity, $4.2 million boondoggle.
