Car show helps feed the needy

The car show for the North Whidbey Help House food bank was a huge success, coordinated by Joan Reeves.

The car show for the North Whidbey Help House food bank was a huge success, coordinated by Joan Reeves.

Pioneer Automotive Services and the Whidbey Cruzers Car Club sponsored a car show July 21 at Pioneer Automotive Services in Oak Harbor. Participants and spectators enjoyed the 91 vehicles, trucks, bikes, trophies, door prizes, entertainment and the late beautiful sunshine.

We collected about 163 pounds of food and a net donation of $1,106.25 for the North Whidbey Help House. I would like to thank everyone who helped make this a success. The Whidbey Cruzers who came and volunteered at the show were the best ever and very supportive in what they were asked to do. Thank you.
