Canceling 4th of July fireworks could alert people to decaying freedoms

Perhaps the fireworks for the Fourth of July should be eliminated this year. The thousands of dollars would be better spent on more needed causes than just lighting up the sky. After all, the fireworks on the Fourth of July is the annual symbol of our country’s independence. We are fast losing it to those who want to rewrite the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. America doesn’t need changes that jeopardize our freedoms and other rights we have had up until now, but we are fast losing them by decisions of some radical “tsars,” and others wrongly appointed who seem bent on changing America.

They are splitting society into an elitist royalty and a serfdom. Different laws for different classes. Maybe keeping the skies over Seattle dark for the night of the fourth would be a wake-up call, and make people aware of the threat to our freedom we are facing.
