We would like to thank all the friends and family that attended the funeral and reception for Leanne Mae (Libbey) Sahli. We appreciate all your thoughts and prayers. Also, special thanks to Leanne’s children and grandchildren for the loving care during the difficult past few years and for the memorable celebration of life.

Leanne, born to George Calvin and Anna Matilda (Jensen) Libbey, was fifth generation of the pioneer Libbey family. She was a true “Island Girl” born in Coupeville, she was one of the third generation of children raised in the Libbey house on Main Street. Although Leanne moved to Burien as a young wife, the island was always her home. Many of her best times were spent with family and friends at the beaches around Whidbey Island and especially on Penn Cove.

We also thank the Wallin Funeral Home, Sunnyside Cemetery and Pastor David Engle for their services.

We will miss her.
