Who is Antifa, the voice of our youth claiming an ethical/ political high ground under the mantra of “Black Lives Matter”?
I contend that “All Lives Matter,” a pro-life mantra that includes the unborn and does not exclude any race. I proclaimed this and lived the Hippocratic Oath as a practicing physician since 1970 without any racist challenges.
No country in history took on the issue of slavery except America in the Civil War of 1861. Abraham Lincoln labeled slavery evil. Well over 600,000 American soldiers died in this war with hundreds of thousands of civilians casualties. We have memorials to the gallantry of both sides including the Lincoln Memorial and statues of Jefferson Davis, General Lee and General Grant.
Grant owned slaves and found it onerous. He was able to enlist them in the Union, where they did their duty. Harriet Tubman rescued many blacks from the Deep South.
Condoleezza Rice reflects, ”We cannot and should not sanitize our history by tearing down monuments,” to those in Antifa that wish to do so.
Antifa is a truncated version of anti-fascist whose actions are heavy handed notoriously assaulting constitutional tenants of our founding fathers. These anarchists trace their historical roots to Weimar, Germany as the brown-shirts that emulate Nazi tactics to silence political rivals. They smear their adversaries as fascists and racist when in fact this is their own identity.
Antifa are anarchists using militant tactics concealed as virtuous political activism.
At first blush, one might think that Antifa means anti-fascism. Nothing could be further from the truth. America is not a fascist country to be taken down.
Antifa has now taken over Capital Hill in Seattle including the police precinct which acquiesced due to political pressures. Now we witness a radicalized zone claiming sovereignty from America. We witness major cities falling to this anarchy including NYC, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Detroit, Chicago and, now, Seattle.
Gov. Jay Inslee just discovered this occurrence as he had not turned on the news. Imagine a governor who is that out of touch.
“All Lives Matter” and if blacks believed it, they would not be aborting their own children at record numbers far exceeding other ethnic groups, excluding Communist China which has a one child dictate. Hard to reproduce if no women.
I was stuck in traffic during the Oak Harbor protests and threatened by taunters, “breaking over the barriers” that Whidbey News-Times claimed was “peaceful.”
Study our founding fathers who created a democratic Republic knowing the dangers of a pure democracy which is mob rule plus one.
