Islanders can visit Cove Thai Cuisine to satiate that desire for a pleasant lunch of spicy salad tossed with lime juice and topped with mint and chili paste.

Or drop in for a delectable dinner of chicken or prawns sauteed with fresh garlic or bell peppers, or grilled steak salad dribbled in spicy lime juice, rich herbs, onions and more.

To polish off a delicious meal, succumb to the temptation of homemade coconut ice cream or sugar-coated Thai black rice. The possibilities are endless.

The restaurant’s cozy, home-like style warms dinner conversation and makes friendly laughter come easily. The contrast of the quaint Coupeville setting with the lively Thai experience lends an exotic, exciting aura to the restaurant.

Cove Thai Cuisine opened July 1. Manager and owner Janjira Rattanasint chose Coupeville for the restaurant upon a friend’s recommendation.

After seeing Coupeville, Rattanasint exclaimed, “I love this place.” In her mind, it was the perfect location for a new Thai restaurant.

News of the restaurant is hotter than their panang curry. Mimi Johnson received instant referrals from family and friends. It was no difficult feat to convince her to treat her taste buds to Thai.

“The food was delicious,” she exclaimed, glad she tried it.

The Cove Thai Cuisine is located at 602 N. Main Street, Coupeville. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner from 4 to 9 p.m. every day. For reservations, call 678-6963.
