Basics of pistol shooting class offered by North Whidbey Sportsmen’s Association

North Whidbey Sports-men’s Association is offering monthly safety classes to the general public.

The next course, NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting, is 6-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Aug. 17 at the NWSA range located at 886 Gun Club Road, off Oak Harbor Road.

The course introduces students to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Students will learn about safe gun handling, pistol shooting fundamentals and pistol shooting activities.

Basics of Pistol Course will also help prepare the student for participation in other NRA courses. This class includes shooting on the NWSA Pistol Range.

Cost of the class is $35. Students can register online at nrainstructors.org
