Fred L. ‘Bud’ Winder: May 21, 1922-Feb. 4, 2018

Fred L. “Bud” Winder, 95, long time Oak Harbor resident, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018 at Island Hospital in Anacortes.
He was born on May 21, 1922 in Seattle, the son of Fred and Meta (Scholz) Winder.
Fred served honorably in the Navy in WWII and later honed his skills as a carpenter in the construction industry. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Fred is survived by one daughter, three sons, two grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service with military honors will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 16, 2018 at Flintstone Park, corner of SE Bayshore Drive and SE Dock Street in Oak Harbor.
Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel and Crematory Inc., Anacortes and the San Juan Islands.
