Mary Louise Todhunter passed away at the age of 62 on Dec. 7, 2010, in Anacortes, after a short battle with cancer. She was born Feb. 12, 1948, to Robert and Eleanor Todhunter in Long Beach, Calif., and moved with her family to Oak Harbor as a young girl. Mary graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1968. Shortly after graduation, she joined the Army, serving her country until 1972.

After returning to Oak Harbor she worked in several local businesses over the years, including Alliance Care Center, Northern Lights Casino and New Leaf. Mary loved to call bingo at the Senior Center and American Legion. If she wasn’t calling, she enjoyed playing. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 7392.

Mary leaves behind her sons, Keith Harrell and Eddy Woodward; granddaughter Stephanie, and her mom, Ellie Todhunter; her brother, Dick Todhunter of Seattle; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Todhunter, sister Frances Todhunter and brother Bob Todhunter.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 18, at 1 p.m. at the VFW Post 7393, 3037 N. Goldie Rd., Oak Harbor.
