Jennie May Hernandez, 23, of Oak Harbor, died Sunday, March 21, 2004, at Madigan Regional Medical Center in Tacoma. She was born Nov. 23, 1980, in Reno, Nev.
She had served her country as a member of the U.S. Navy since Sept. 29, 2000. Most recently, she was attached to the Garudas of VAQ-134 at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station.
Jennie is survived by her husband Jose Hernandez and son Derek Hernandez of Oakdale, Calif.; mother Loretta Passmore of Oakdale, Calif.; father Gary Passmore and brother Darrell Passmore of Camano Island; sister Fay Sinare of Graham, N.C.; and her grandmothers, Leona Meegan of Modesto, Calif., and Shirley Passmore of Camano Island. She will be sincerely missed by her many friends and coworkers.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 29, 2004, at 1 p.m., at Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood.
